AB Soft Tissue Therapy

Sports Massage, Sports Therapy

My name is Anthony and I graduated as a Soft Tissue Therapist from the London School of Sports Massage (L.S.S.M) in November 2018 with a BTEC level 5

I am also a memebr of the Institute of Sports & Remedial Massage (I.S.R.M)

My role as a soft tissue therapist is to assess, treat and rehahbiltate chronic and minor injuries which may not only be caused by sport but by also day to day life in a safe and effective way.

I have always had a keen interest in sports and fitness and played football all through my teens and twenties. After giving that up and wanting to fill the void left by football I watched a friend run in a race for life and that’s where I caught the running bug.

As I approached my thirties I was already taking part in 5K & 10K races but always just for fun. Then came the idea to run the London Marathon!

I ran my first marathon in 2010 and since then I have run all sorts of distances from 5K Parkruns to 63 mile Ultra Marathons and everything in between.

During the last 10 years of running I have also become a keen cyclist often riding in sportives and over the last 3 years I have really been working hard on developing my endurance fitness in the gym as I am always looking for a new challenge to train towards.

Being a runner, cyclist and gym user I understand how you and your body can feel whether that is training for or post event so with this in mind I treat the way that I like to be treated as I understand the benefits that can be had from regular treatment before and after event but also during our day to day lives where stress and tension can build up and accumulate in the bodies soft tissues but massage can help to break this down.

Massage has numerous benefits and can help towards:

* Reduction of pain
* Stress relief
* It can help with posture related issues
* Reduces muscular tension
* Can also help with quicker recovery from surgery, such as knee and hip
* It can also help to manage arthritis

Appoinments:

All new clients are booked in for a 1hr appointment, this will include a 10-15 minute consultation where a detailed history of any injuries or previous medical conditions will be noted, there may also be some postural & joint assesments.

Follow up:

All follow up appointments after that can either be booked in for 25 or 50 minutes.

Anthony Bunce

I am Soft Tissue and Sports Massage Therapist who covers Bexley and the surrounding areas. I have been a fully qualified as a level 5 therapist since November 2018. As a runner who has covered all distances from 400m to 63 mile ultra marathons I fully understand what our bodies can be put through and feel like during training and all the way through to post event. My aim is very simple, I want you to move and feel better than before your treatment, even if it is only small improvements they are still improvements and we will work on improving that with each visit made. I also like to give exercises and stretches that I feel work best for your symptoms. My role as a soft tissue therapist is to assess, treat and rehahbiltate chronic and minor injuries which may not only be caused by sport but by also day to day life in a safe and effective way.
