Anna attended a four year full-time undergraduate course at the University of Glamorgan Welsh Institute of Chiropractic, graduating in 2002 with a First Class Honours degree and winning the coveted prize for academic achievement. Anna is passionate about health, healing and chiropractic. Since graduating she has enthusiastically continued her education across a range of health-related topics including nutrition, pain management, functional neurology, functional muscle testing, psychology, energy medicine, kinesiotaping, nerve flossing and other post-graduate chiropractic techniques; she is committed to life-long learning. Equilibrium is a training practice under the Royal College of Chiropractors Graduate Training Scheme and Anna has mentored several graduates through their challenging first year as new Chiropractors. She has a particular interest in working with athletes and sports people and sees many professional and semi-professional sports-people in clinic. She loves their commitment and the way they are so in tune with the changes that chiropractic can make. She also see a lot of weekend warriors! Performance counts for sport and optimising performance is one of the aims of chiropractic adjustments. She has a large tool-kit of therapeutic approaches that include diversified technique, cranial adjusting, sacro-occipital technique (SOT), neuro-muscular energy techniques, activator adjusting, upper-cervical specific adjusting, Network Spinal Analysis (NSA), toggle technique and functional muscle testing. She is trained to use acupuncture for pain relief, to fit orthotics and to apply kinesio-tape to help recovery from injuries. She has also trained to support health with dietary changes and nutritional supplements. Anna had congenital hip dysplasia, which was not found in time to correct it whilst she was an infant. As a result, she underwent hip replacement surgery at the age of 40 after living with severe pain for years. Chiropractic prove
Victoria is a graduate of the McTimoney College of Chiropractic in Oxfordshire and joined Equilibrium in March 2014 under the profession's graduate scheme and has chosen to stay with us. As well as being a fully qualified Chiropractor, she is also qualified in massage and soft tissue release techniques. Her interest in Chiropractic started as a young child when she suffered with headaches after a horse riding accident. Since this early age she has been fascinated with Chiropractic's gentle but effective techniques in treating a wide range of patients. She has therefore trained and completed a 5 year Master's Degree to qualify as a Chiropractor. Victoria is continuing her education enthusiastically and has now completed the post-graduate training scheme with the College of Chiropractors. She has completed training in kinesio-taping to help manage sports injuries. She has also completed post-graduate training in treating babies and children, as well as pregnant Mums-to-be - an area of real interest to her. When she is not working as a Chiropractor, Victoria is usually found walking her two lively dogs and competing with her horses in the field of eventing. At aged sixteen she was riding for her country at Pony level before putting this on hold temporarily to train as a Chiropractor. Victoria is registered with the General Chiropractic Council and is a member of both the McTimoney Chiropractic Association and the Royal College of Chiropractors.
