Bio: You don’t have to be an athlete to benefit from sports massage =)
I graduated from London School of Soft Tissue and Remedial Massage which gives me a BTEC level 5 Professional Diploma in Soft Tissue Therapy which is equivalent to a university under-graduate level of education. It provides me with a very high level of skill and knowledge which enables me to become a professional clinical therapist who can effectively assess and treat injuries. I also have a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and continue to work as an assistant psychologist in my local community learning disability team outside of my massage therapist role.
I enjoyed sports growing up including hockey and gymnastics. I coached children for many years. I have a special interest in working with people with disabilities. I currently enjoy playing badminton and going for long walks with my dog, Ozzie.
I have always enjoyed caring for others. I originally went to university to study Nursing, but soon found out that the latin words were a step too far for my dyslexic brain which is when I applied to Chichester University to study Psychology. After University I went straight into Health Care as a Support Worker; in this role I worked with children and adults with physical and mental disabilities and long term conditions. This lead to my current role as an assistant psychologist, which I love. Something was missing however which is when I applied to LSSM. I graduated in June 2019 and stated working as a Massage Therapist in a Chiropractic Clinic with my sister in July 2019. My sister lives a long way away however so it was never going to be forever. My local Chiropractor Paul Zalick encouraged me to set up on my own; fingers crossed it all works out and I continue to support people flourish in this weird and wonderful world!!
