I'm an osteopath with a specialism in sports injuries, having been a dancer previously. My dance training left me with a knee injury and I was so inspired by the osteopathic treatment I received, I decided to train as one! I now go to the gym (cardio, weight lifting and resistance training) four times a week and live a healthy lifestyle - I always practice what I preach! I have a real focus on breathing patterns and long term recovery and rehabilitation from injury and have worked with sportspeople of all levels - from just getting in to exercise to professional athletes and Olympians!
I also am a Clinical Pilates instructor and use this as an adjunct to Osteopathy - I often refer to my Clinical Pilates training to help rehabilitate my Osteopathy patients from injury long term. I also teach one-to-one Clinical Pilates for those who need more support e.g. people just starting to exercise, people recovering from major injuries and those with long term health conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis.
