Tom is our Physiotherapy Manager. Tom joined the practice after graduating from the University of Hertfordshire in 2014 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy and is a full member of both the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and the Healthcare Professions Council. Having chosen to specialise in musculoskeletal injuries and rehabilitation, Tom has undertaken various postgraduate courses based in this field including acupuncture, taping and strapping and sports first aid. As well as being a physiotherapist, Tom is also a qualified sports massage therapist and gym instructor. He has used these skills to work as physiotherapist for Harlow Town Football Club and at the London Marathon. Tom enjoys playing 5-a-side, 6-a-side and 11-a-side football each week and can closely empathise with patients having dislocated the acromioclavicular joint in his shoulder in a football match, for which he received treatment and rehabilitation at the clinic. Tom also specialises in 'Rebecca Nelson Headache and Migraine' treatment, where our clinic is a centre of excellence.
Jenie is a recent graduate from the University of Hertfordshire in 2017 with a BSc (Hons) (SW) in Sports Therapy and she is a member of the Society of Sports Therapists. Jenie has experience in electrotherapy, sports massage, peripheral and spinal joint mobilisation and exercise rehabilitation. She has also undertaken a variety of courses including Kinesio-taping, Dry Needling and Sports Trauma Management and she is keen to develop skills in Spinal Manipulation and pregnancy treatment. Jenie has experience in a variety of environments including Bristol City Football Club Academy, the University of Hertfordshire Sports Injury Clinic, The Medical Clinic, Neurokinex, Haileybury and Imperial Service Collage and has provided massage for Hertfordshire Mavericks Netball Team and for Asthma UK as part of the London Marathon. Jenie has participated in sports from a young age including gymnastics, netball, hockey and swimming and therefore she has an interest in a wide variety of sports.
