We are a small clinic based in the heart of the Leeds city business district. We have two experienced clinicians working who have a real interest in sporting injuries. Mayu is a keen climber and runner and David is also a keen runner who has previously worked for Leeds United FC.
David qualified in Physiotherapy in 2004 from Keele University. He has worked within the NHS, private practice and in professional sports since then. He currently splits his time between working in a GP clinic and in The West Point Practice. David is a keen runner and has a real interest in treating any sporting injuries but especially running injuries.
Mayuri Amin (Mayu) trained as a physiotherapist at Kings’ College London, graduating in 2010. She initially worked in the NHS at Guys and St Thomas’ hospitals in a number of specialties including musculoskeletal pain and injuries, orthopaedics, respiratory, rehabilitation and Women’s Health which remains a keen interest of hers. Since moving back to Yorkshire 2 years ago she has specialized in the musculoskeletal field of physiotherapy, working in both private and NHS setting. Her skills include assessment and treatment of a wide range of conditions from sports injuries to chronic and recurrent pains of all parts of the body; using manual therapies, rehabilitation, soft tissue techniques and acupuncture to restore movement and function to enable client’s individual goals to be achieved. Outside of work, Mayu is a keen runner and swimmer with a thirst for a challenge having successfully negotiated the skiing slopes and hoping to learn to surf this year. Her main challenge this year will be by way of her 1st marathon in October.
