A Chiropractor will treat disorders of the musculoskeletal locomotor system that lead to: Back pain Neck pain Headaches Sporting injuries Muscular pain Manipulation, mobilisation, soft tissue techniques, dry needling and stretches are all used to decrease pain and improve function. Chiropractic patients are given individualised rehabilitation programs that combine: self-mobilisation, stretches and functional retraining exercises to improve balance, strength and co-ordination. The first visit takes up to 60 minutes in which the Chiropractor will undertake a comprehensive medical history, complaint history, and a neurological muscular skeletal examination of the patient. A series of functional tests may also be carried out. You will be treated on the first visit unless further testing such as X-rays are required. A chiropractic treatment plan and working prognosis will be given and the approximate number of visits will be indicated. Patients normally follow a course of treatments
