After qualifying Julia worked in the NHS before travelling to Denmark, Switzerland and Gibraltar. During this time Julia developed a keen interest in sports injuries and on her return set up a Sports Injuries Clinic in Manchester. Throughout this time she continued her physiotherapy education and subsequently progressed to the Post Graduate Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine.
For many years Julia has worked with many elite athletes and has been to the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne with the England Boxing Team. She has recently retired from the post of physiotherapist with the Wales Rugby League Team, although she continues to be involved with the treatment of junior elite rugby league players.

We are a highly enthusiastic, hands on and experienced Physiotherapy practice in the leafy suburb of Kenwood near Sheffield City Centre. Our Team of Physio's and Sports massage Therapists work to our Core values which is to treat all of our clients as individuals as everyone is different. We look at you as a whole and not just your injury as our body works together. Our speciality is rehabilitation and injury prevention, with a bias for return to sport or improving within a sport. However we also work with people who aren't at all sporty and maybe just have a goal of getting up off the sofa without pains or creaks! We offer a range of services including Physiotherapy, Pre and post operative Rehabilitation, pre and post natal care, 1:1 pilates, Acupuncture and Sports massage as well as running analysis, injury prevention, gait analysis and falls prevention.
My main objective is to alleviate your pain and discomfort by using a wide range of treatment methods, not just massage. A large percentage of my clients are not from a sporting background, and visit me for treatment of conditions ranging from migraines, back ache, sciatica, knee pain and achilles tendonitis. I use a variety of treatment methods which might include Deep Oscillation, Microcurrent, medical Acupuncture, Therapeutic Ultrasound, Electrotherapy, Thermal Therapy as well as Massage and Stretching. Give me a call to discuss your muscle dysfunction, joint stiffness or nerve pain and see how I can help you on the road to recovery.
