I'm Paul Floyd.

I hold a BTEC Level 5 Professional Diploma in Soft Tissue Therapy, gained from the London School of Sports Massage (LSSM) and I'm a member of the Institute for Soft Tissue Therapists (ISRM).

Sport has always been a huge part of my life, for as long as I can remember. I played rugby union for about 30 years, playing my first competitive game at the age of 7, and also enjoyed playing recreational basketball for several years after leaving school (I say recreational because it was just a weekly game with work colleagues/friends but, as any keen sports person knows, it was always competitive!).

When I stopped playing rugby, I turned to running as my main form of exercise, completing some half marathons over a few years but now just "tick over" on shorter distances.

As a result of participating in sport for so many years, I've suffered my fair share of injuries (I'm sure my old rugby teammates would laugh and say more than my fair share!), so I know and fully understand the frustration of being unable to do what you love.

I also know how frustrating (not to mention how expensive) it is to suffer recurring injuries, to feel trapped in a constant cycle of treatment/rehab/training/re-injury. That's why it's so important to get to the root of a problem, rather than just treating the symptoms whenever the injury reoccurs.

Without resolving the underlying cause, whether it be muscle weakness/tension/imbalance, postural/alignment issues, overuse or whatever, that cycle will continue.

I aim to work with you (and your role is vital in your recovery!) to break that cycle, to reduce the likelihood/frequency/intensity of any recurrence and give you the tools and the confidence to better manage your health and get back to doing whatever it is that you love.
